Wrapping up a 3-month research journey at Chiang Mai University (CMU)! It has been an unforgettable and enriching experience, blending cutting-edge robotics research with the amazing culture of Thailand.
Funded by the SME 5.0 project, my research focused on bridging the gap between Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and real-time robotic grasping for manufacturing and household handovers. What started as a cloud-AI exploration pivoted into a highly responsive, localized hybrid AI and RGB-D vision pipeline! 🤖📸
The next step involves transferring this functional pipeline to the home institution for immediate experimental validation on a physical robotic arm, alongside compiling our findings into a scientific paper. On to the next chapter of human-robot collaboration! 🚀
