Annual Meeting of SME 5.0 Project Held at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano

On June 17, 2025, the SME 5.0 consortium convened for its annual meeting at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, bringing together representatives from 16 partner institutions worldwide. This in-person gathering provided a valuable opportunity to review progress, share research findings, and collaboratively plan the next phases of the project.

Throughout the sessions, partners presented updates on their respective work packages, discussed strategies for engaging SMEs in different regions, and explored innovative solutions that align with the core pillars of Industry 5.0: human-centricity, resilience, and sustainability. Cross-institutional collaboration and knowledge sharing were central to the discussions, reinforcing the project’s mission to empower small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe and beyond.

The meeting also featured interactive workshops, site visits, and strategic sessions to strengthen the network of partners and refine future directions. As SME 5.0 moves forward, the consortium remains committed to developing practical tools, methodologies, and policy recommendations that will help SMEs thrive in an increasingly digital and sustainable economy.
